This coop is also located in Huehuetenango city. In 2017, Ensoluna S.A. started working with WayKan (aka Kafe Professional) coop which is being run by our old friend, Manrique Lopez.  WayKan started as a part of an initative to support the development of local, small scale coffee farmers in Huehuetenango regions. Today, WayKan is comprised of 40 coffee farm members and spread over 8 different coffee communites.  WayKan members are 100% small scale farmers upholding their Mayan roots, including deep respect fro the land and holistic farming practices, and preserving traditional culture and language.  Also, they are famous for very high grade micro lots from entire Huehuetenango regions, such as Quiche, Nebaj & Chajul regions.

"WayKan" means "star/light" that shines in the sky at night (Maya dialect from Huehuetenango)
